Health supplements are regulated by the National Agency of Food and Drug Control, known as Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM). According to the regulations, only Indonesian legal entities registered as food, traditional drug, and pharmaceutical companies can import and distribute dietary supplements to the country. Before entering the local market, health supplement products need to undergo a certification process conducted by Indonesia’s BPOM. First, the body will conduct a facility building inspection to ensure your products comply with all safety and standard distribution requirements.
To successfully go through a health supplement registration process, applicants must provide several detailed documents such as an import license, an authorization letter from the manufacturer, a legalized Certificate of Free Sale issued by the origin country’s government, as well as trade business license among others. InCorp Indonesia can validate all documents and submit the application dossier on your behalf.

According to Law No. 33/2014 on Halal Products Assurance, many consumer products and related services entering and traded in Indonesia must now gradually be Halal-certified.
